Winter
Winter is a great time to get outside with Scouting and shake off the cabin
fever. Pack 550 offers a great opportunity for a day of excitement with Polar
Cubs Day Camp.
POLAR CUBS DAY CAMP: A one-day winter experience filled with plenty of fun,
adventure, activity, and advancement opportunities. A hot lunch is provided in
the camp dining hall for everyone. Your day will include activities such as
sledding, winter nature activities, crafts, snow obstacle course, and learning
about keeping warm and dry in the snow and cold.

Check in will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the day ending at 4:00 p.m.
WHY: Activities, like a winter time Day Camp, helps to keep the Pack active and
healthy. Boys
join Scouting for a years worth of activities including an opportunity for some
winter fun
like Polar Cubs, a good reason to be outside having fun in the snow and cold.
FEE: $19.00 per Cub Scout and $8.00 per adult (includes lunch).
THE FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
WHAT TO BRING:
Each Cub Scout and adult must have proper winter outdoor clothing including:
snow
suits/pants, boots, hats and 2 pair of mittens, health form with signed parent
authorization
to participate and to receive medical care. A complete list of what to bring
will be mailed
out following your registration.
ADULT LEADERSHIP:
One adult per 4 Cub Scouts with a minimum of 2 adults per group participating.
Tiger Cubs need to attend with an adult partner. (1/1 ratio of youth to adult)
COUNCILS WEATHER POLICY:
Decisions for official camp closing will be made by the Camping Executive. When
camps
are officially closed, fees will either be transferred to another weekend or
refunded.
The Camping Executive may also approve transferring fees paid by a unit to
another weekend or event if the unit leader determines conditions to be unsafe
for his or her unit activity AND if they notify the council office (before camps
starts) that they will not be able to attend. More often than not, we will not
close the camps.
